A BIBLIOTECA EUNIC é o projeto bibliotecário que tem como objetivo promover as bibliotecas dos institutos da rede EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture – um grupo de institutos culturais dos estados membros da União Europeia) e apoiar o conhecimento da tradição literária europeia nos aspetos mais amplos. Este faz parte do programa o Ano Europeu do Património Cultural 2018 do EUNIC.

Cada biblioteca que participar no projeto tem direito a “uma estante especial”. Aqui podem-se encontrar livros, na língua do instituto respetivo, sugeridos pelos outros institutos culturais. Assim, no Instituto Camões em Praga, poderão ter a possibilidade de ler livros europeus em português. Os participantes no projeto são: Instituto Cultural Búlgaro, Embaixada da Bélgica – a Delegação do Governo da Flandres na República Checa, Embaixada da República da Letónia – Instituto Cultural da Letónia, Instituto Goethe, Instituto Camões em Praga, Instituto Cervantes, Instituto Francês em Praga, Instituto Cultural Italiano e Instituto Polaco.

EUNIC LIBRARY is a library project with the general aim of promoting the libraries of the institutional network of the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture), cluster of Prague, and promoting the constitution of a sharing of knowledge, even in its more general aspects, of the European Literary Heritage. The idea is part of the EUNIC program for the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

The specific purpose of the project is the constitution of a “special shelf” present in every library participating in the initiative, consisting of books recommended by the Cultural Institutes that are part of the EUNIC Prague and members of the project. Participants in the project: Bulgarian Cultural Institute, Embassy of Belgium-Delegation of Flanders in the Czech Republic, Embassy of Latvia/Latvian Cultural Centre, Goethe-Institut, Instituto Camões, Instituto Cervantes, Institut Français, Italian Institute of Culture and the Polish Institute.
